Spices have seduced cooks and conquerers down the ages. Over time, many culinary cultures evolved all-important spice blends. Those go-to masalas, or the magical ‘secret ingredient’, became iconic of the cuisine. At our online food workshop #SpicyStories, culinary chronicler @RushinaMG shares stories of her favourite legendary Indian spice blends - Kashmiri Ver, Bhuknu, Lazzat E Taam, East Indian Bottle Masala and more. She attempts to understand their intrinsic role in their mother cuisine, and breaks down their composition to analyse the functions and health benefits of their ingredients. She also provides two signature 'template recipe base' spice blends from her kitchen that you can tweak according to the season and personal taste to spice up your cooking round the year.
Duration: 2 hours
Spicy Stories handout will be sent on email a day prior to the event
