At the ground level, built structures and high walls hide the details of the city, even for those who think they know the well-traversed thoroughfares of the metropolis. The hidden greenery and the confusing layout of the city are best revealed from above. At our Online Talk #MumbaiFromAbove, Dr Jehangir Sorabjee, who has been documenting Mumbai from the air for the past 20 years, juxtaposes old aerial views of the city alongside recent ones for reference, and takes us on a visual sweep over the city from the southernmost tip of the island to the Versova creek, highlighting the growth and expansion that has taken place on the expanding island mass of the city.
Talk link will be shared a couple of hours before the workshop
