During the dark time of the pandemic, it is the bird on the balcony and the flower on the windowsill that has kept people sane. For conservation biologist and author Neha Sinha, in particular, it was birds on semal trees, dragonflies on wetlands, butterflies in the ancient Central Ridge forests, and flowers on large trees in hospital while living through the lockdown and attending to patients. At our Online Talk #OutsideMyWindow, she discusses the beauty and wonder of Nature in our daily lives, clocking down her observations on birds, flowers, butterflies and migration over the last year of the pandemic, and asks, can Nature heal us, day by day? She will also read from her book, Wild and Wilful, which captures the magic of the migration of the Rosy Starling from Central Asia and Eastern Europe to Delhi and India.
Talk link will be shared a couple of hours before the event
