Mumbai in 1892. The University’s Rajabai Tower is a recent grand attraction in the city, drawing crowds for its unparalleled vistas of the cityscape. Until tragedy strikes, one day, when the wife and sister of a rising Parsi industrialist fall to their death from the top of the tower. Was it murder? Was it suicide? Or was it a mix of both - two women leaping to death to save their honour? At our Online Talk #MurderInOldMumbai, crime fiction writer Nev March takes inspiration from this real-life incident to paint a picture of life in the city in the late 19th century.
