Lavani has been an entertaining art form of Maharashtra for the past several centuries. However, little is known about the world in which the women from the Sangeet Bari system still live today. It is a matriarchal, intoxicating world filled with its own highs and lows. At our Online Talk #AikaReAika, writer Bhushan Korgaonkar will take you on a virtual tour of the world of Lavani, and highlight the role of Mumbai in shaping and strengthening this art form.
