About the speaker

Swapna Liddle is a historian with a special interest in Delhi. For many years she has also been closely involved in the movement to preserve historic sites and monuments. Her most recent book is ‘The Broken Script : Delhi under the East India Company and the fall of the Mughal dynasty, 1803-1857’.
