Today is the 9th death anniversary of the founder of Mumbai's iconic Gallery Chemould, Kekoo Gandhy. His father's frame shop on Princess Street introduced him to Mumbai's fledgling modern art world in the 1940s. Not only did he create a gallery space for artists, but also promoted their work in India and abroad.
