This day, 111 years ago, the Harbour Branch line of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway opened to freight traffic, connecting the main line at Kurla to the new cotton bunder at Reay Road, enabling the transport of cotton from the hinterland to the port. Suburban services didn’t begin till 1924, when the line was extended to Victoria Terminus (now CSMT) by an overhead railway.

The following “Terms and Conditions” shall be binding on each participant making a donation hereinafter referred to as (“The Donor”) to Khaki Heritage Foundation hereinafter referred to as (“KHF”) which is a Not For Profit Company Registered under Section 8 of the The Company’s Act, 2013 and having its registered number as U93000MH2018PTC305786 and its registered address at 802 Aster, Dosti Acres, Wadala East, Mumbai – 400037.
