As one comes to the end of the majestic marine drive of Chowpatty, they arrive at a small patch that once belonged to the Parsi community but later was converted to a planned Estate as a result of the great plague of 1896. While this area has evolved to be one of the most prime real estates in the city, some remnants of the past as old as the 12th century survive to this date hidden away, below the hill.
