Philately, or collecting stamps, has often been described as the hobby of kings and the king of hobbies. And stamps - small, ordinary objects, tucked away in albums or forgotten on envelopes - carry within them a world of history, politics, art, and storytelling. At our Online Talk #TheRoyalHobby, philatelist and numismatist Sanjay Joshi invites you to explore the remarkable universe of postage stamps from the iconic Penny Black to rare and unusual stamps across the globe. Uncover how stamps evolved, their varied materials and shapes, and intriguing anomalies and learn about how one square inch packs in a great amount of information.
