Bombay that is Mumbai that is Momoi that is Mhamai has been declared as unsuitable for song by the progenitor of modernism in Indian poetry written in English, Nissim Ezekiel. And yet it has been home to several fine poets including Dom Moraes, Adil Jussawalla, Eunice de Souza and others. At our Online Talk #OdesToMumbai, Bombay-Bambai-Mumbai-Momoi-Mhamai poet and writer Jerry Pinto talks about his city and its poetry.
